Veterinary School: Michigan State University

Dr. Corso grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan. She became interested in veterinary medicine at the age of 12 after reading the All Creatures Great and Small series of books by James Harriot.   She attended Michigan State University to study biochemistry and earned her Bachelors of Science degree.  She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1995 from Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Corso practiced for one year in Michigan, moved to the San Diego area where she worked for 11 years in general small animal medicine, emergency medicine, and specialty referral practices.  She moved to Santa Barbara in 2007 and was the medical director for VCA Noah's Ark Animal Hospital for 3 years.  After moving to Temecula in September, 2010,  Dr. Corso was appointed the Medical Director at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital.

In 2011, Dr. Corso joined our team at Shadowridge Veterinary Hospital in Vista.  Dr. Corso's special areas of interest include dog and cat dentistry, anesthesia, and pain management. She is also employed by VIN (Veterinary Information Network) a worldwide online community of veterinarians who support and help each other with case management.  She is an excellent diagnostician and knows how to help make pets and their loved ones feel better. 

Dr. Corso and her husband Brek spend their time raising thier son Jake, born in 2009.  Two cats, Shelby and Andy, round out their family.  They recently lost their dog and will be adopting another one when Jake is ready for a pal.

Dr. Corso enjoys travel, hiking, camping, gaming, music, movies, counted cross stitch, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Corso is an active member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), the SDCVMA (San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association), AVDS (American Veterinary Dental Society), and IVAPM (International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management).
