   The most up to date anesthesia and surgical equipment allows us to perform many routine and non-routine surgical services while ensuring your pet’s safety and comfort. We are pleased to offer state-of-the-art laser surgery available for all surgical procedures. The Luxar Accuvet 12 watt CO2 Laser has numerous advantages over traditional scalpel surgical techniques including:
Less Pain since the laser seals nerve endings.
Less Swelling at the surgery site.
Less Bleeding as the laser seals blood vessels.

In addition, the laser allows the doctors to remove tumors in hard to reach places or difficult surgical areas such as the mouth, throat, and ear canal. Small Adenomas or moles that grow on the bodies of may dogs (they look like pink fleshy cauliflower growths) can now be removed during routine office calls with only local anesthetic and laser ablation of the mole. The most obvious advantage of the laser is in its use to perform routine declaw operations in cats. Our feline friends now experience less pain and swelling, no bleeding even without the use of tourniquets, and can go home the same day of surgery instead of the normal 2 day hospitalization.
New techniques to perform entropion surgery with incisions is currently being investigated at Shadowridge Veterinary Hospital. If you have a pet that my be a candidate for laser surgery please contact Dr. Schiebert for consolation.

     Shadowridge Veterinary Hospital offers professional Bathing and Grooming services Monday through Saturday.  Your pet can be dropped off as early as 8:00 a.m. and picked up as late as 6:00 p.m. 
     Your pet will be kept in a safe, friendly atmosphere and never exposed to unvaccinated animals.  To ensure your pet’s safety, we require all pets to be vaccinated prior to being admitted for grooming.  Because this grooming service is a part of our veterinary hospital, you can rest assured that, should any medical emergency arise while your pet is with us, he or she will have immediate access to professional veterinary staff.
     Hydrosurge Bathing offers deep cleansing of the coat and skin to remove the dead layer of skin cells from your pets coat.  Every bath includes Shampoo, Rinse, Conditioning rinse, Anal Gland expression, Ear Cleaning and Pedicure.  We will clean your dog’s ears and express anal glands if they are problem free.  If your dog has a problem with his ears or anal glands, you can request they be treated by a veterinarian while your dog is here.

    We offer scheduled appointments as well as walk-ins.  Scheduled appointments will be tailored to your schedule.  In addition, we also provide groom while you wait appointments.  Walk-ins are always welcome; however, we will ask that you leave your pet for the day so we can work them in between our scheduled Bathing appointments.
